Our Story
IT STARTED WITH HOME
Kaaya began with three sisters, a love for the Sri Lankan flavours we grew up with, and a desire to share them beyond our own table.
What started as a tribute to our father and the legacy he left us has grown into something of our own — a collection of bold, flavour-packed condiments inspired by home.
THE GOOD STUFF, JARRED
Chutneys, sambols, coconut spread and pickle — the kinds of flavours that can completely change a meal.
Spoon them onto rice, layer them into sandwiches, add them to a snack plate, or eat them however you like. We’re not here to make food complicated. We’re here to make it taste really good.
A LITTLE SRI LANKA IN EVERY JAR
Our flavours are rooted in the food we know and love. From sweet and savoury chutneys to bold sambols, creamy coconut spread and punchy pickle, every jar is our way of sharing a little piece of Sri Lanka with your table.
Familiar to some. A delicious discovery for others.
THREE SISTERS. ONE KAAYA.
Kaaya is woman-founded and family-built. The three of us bring different personalities to the table, but we're united by the same thing: creating a brand we're proud to put our family name, story and flavours behind.
And somewhere in all of it is our dad — the reason we started, and a reminder to keep building something meaningful.
Inspired by a Legacy
Appa was our guiding light — a visionary with a generous heart and an incredible drive to build something meaningful. His idea of success was never just about himself. He believed in working hard, persevering, and creating something that could leave a lasting impact.
That spirit is at the heart of Kaaya. What began as a tribute to him has become our way of building something of our own — sharing the Sri Lankan flavours we grew up with, while carrying forward the determination and entrepreneurial spirit he passed on to us.
Kaaya is dedicated to him.
